Fonogram Awards 2010 - nomination and performance
This year, MAHASZ organizes Fonogram - Hungarian Music Awards again. According to precedent, music business appreciates the most prominent musical performances of 2009 in many categories. This year, Fonogram gala is arranged on 10th February, at Millenáris Teátrum. Live broadcast is provided by Magyar Televízió 1 (Hungarian Television 1). This year, 11 musical peformances can be seen at the gala: Auth Csilla, Bin-Jip, Budapest Saxophone Quartet, Firkin, Turbó és Barabás Lőrinc, HOBO, Holdviola, Rúzsa Magdolna, Szinetár Dóra és Bereczky Zoltán.
Firkin's greatest honour so far was being nominated for 'Best Hungarian world music album' (http://www.fonogram.hu/?menu=jeloltek) The debut album, 'Firkinful of Beer' was published in may, 2009 by Universal Music, and since then, it has sold very well, and also, it has won the approval of the professional jury.

On Thursday, 18th February, an unstopable, happy, bouncing party begins. A boisterous, turbulent and crazy Irish band will seethe the cold winter night - the folk-punk hearsay and vision. The 7-member band plays at prime time, and will drag the arms, legs and bodies with its music without any laces - and as we experienced it so far, the sorrow-leaving, boat-rocking party will bring down the starts of the Celtic Universe. Stress and depression can be handed down to the cloak room but the joyful rampage is avoidable. The act starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m.

Irish PubShow from 7 p.m. on saturday, at the Community House of Békásmegyer. This time, the band's guest is Sándor Badár, who will share his Irish pub stories with the audience. The stand-up is followed by a half-an-hour Celtic party. Entering the pubshow, you are welcome with a free glass of Guinness.
